Fusion Health both recognises and values the contribution to project success that the partnering approach can make.
The principle and process of "partnering" is now a key feature of all NHS development projects. Fusion Health firmly believes in and has actively participated in the partner process, from the earliest days of the pilot projects under the Procure 21 initiative, to the Designed for Life: Building for Wales framework to most recently the Frameworks Scotland initiative:
Key personnel in Fusion Health were part of the initial pilot projects in the Midlands and NE since 2003. Other major projects involve the Bristol Cardiac Centre, the redevelopment of the Cherry Knowle Hospital and the Blackpool and Fylde Cardiac Centre.
Working with supply chains such as Laing O'Rourke and Kier Health, the Fusion team have developed a detailed understanding of what it means to be a partner, generate mutual goals within a framework that is inclusive and self supporting.
Similarly as with P21, key members of Fusion Health have led health planning teams under the DFL: BFW framework, working on such projects as the Gwent Specialist Critical Care Centre. This project relates to a new acute "acute" hospital planned for South Wales.
NHS LIFT (local improvement finance trust) has now been part of the health landscape for over 7 years. Conceived as a mechanism to deliver new primary care health facilities to deprived areas, NHS LIFT has grown into a major procurement route, supported by the NAO as providing a value for money solution for delivering new health facilities.
The Fusion team have been active in supporting LIFT ventures, both through third party developers, LIFT Cos and directly for Primary Care Trusts.
Competitive dialogue, as the extension and development of the PPP/PFI process is well understood by Fusion Health and we are able to fully support both the NHS and private sector suppliers through this process, ensuring that the healthcare planning elements within such schemes are fully constructed to ensure all requirements of the process are met enabling clear comparison and review of the healthcare planning elements of the bid submission.
